Twenty metres
of Adriatic
Five cabins, twelve guests, five heads. Chartered by the week from the Dalmatian coast.
Marina Frapa · Rogoznica
The boat
A big, forgiving, fast passage-maker — the kind of yacht that carries twelve people for a week without anyone feeling they are camping. With a watermaker and a generator aboard, when the anchor goes down in a bay off Kornati you can simply stay.
Taking her yourself needs a Yachtmaster or equivalent and an SRC radio licence — and if nobody in your party holds one, a skipper can be arranged. Her cabin is already aboard.

Before you book
Yacht charter in Croatia — the questions people ask
Do I need a licence to charter her?
Yes. Taking her yourself needs a Yachtmaster or an equivalent certificate such as the German Sportseeschifferschein, plus an SRC radio licence. If nobody in your party holds one, the charter company can arrange a skipper for €200 a day — she has a separate skipper's cabin, so it costs you no space.
How many people can sleep aboard?
Twelve. Five guest cabins take ten, and the saloon converts for two more. There are five heads with electric toilets, so a full boat is not queuing for one bathroom. The skipper, if you take one, has his own cabin forward.
Where does she sail from?
Marina Frapa in Rogoznica, on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, roughly an hour south of Split airport. She is registered in Šibenik. Charters run Saturday to Saturday.
Where can we sail to in a week?
Rogoznica sits in the middle of the best of the Croatian coast. North-west are the Kornati islands and their national park; north is Šibenik and the Krka river; south-east are Trogir and Split; and further out lie Hvar and Vis. Most of it is comfortable day-sailing, and nearly every town has a quay you can lie alongside.
What is included in the charter price?
Bedding and a towel set for every guest, the Highfield dinghy and its 10 hp outboard, and unlimited internet aboard. A mandatory permit of €590 covers fuel, gas, cleaning materials and a starter pack. The security deposit is €5,000, or €500 for deposit insurance instead.
When is the sailing season?
She charters from late March to the end of October. July and August are the hottest and busiest and are priced accordingly; June and September have the same water with fewer boats in it; and October is the cheapest sailing of the year.
Can we bring a dog?
Usually yes. Pets are allowed aboard unless the owner has said otherwise, for a €100 cleaning charge. It is worth asking when you enquire rather than assuming.
Is she a bareboat or a crewed charter?
Either. If you hold the certificates she is a bareboat charter and you sail her yourselves. If you would rather not, a skipper is €200 a day and a hostess €180 a day, both arranged through the charter company and paid directly.
